What is Thrombograft®PRP  Thrombograft®PRP & Wound Care
Thrombograft®PRP & Bone

Thrombograft®PRP is an autologous platelet rich plasma  preparation developed by PPAI Medical™, used to make Platelet Grafts for wound care and other procedures.  This preparation technique provides platelet rich plasma with platelet counts up to 8 times the patients baseline, with a platelet recovery of up to 95%.  This technique is like none other on the market today.  Small blood samples of 50ml are easily attained and processed in less than 12 minutes to provide platelet rich plasma that consistently contain the highest platelet count possible.  Thrombograft®PRP is currently being used at many facilities throughout the Eastern United States because of the high quality end product, cost effectiveness, and availability.   Thrombograft®PRP is the most efficient and economical way to provide PRP therapy to your patients.  For more information on how Thrombograft®PRP works and the clinical outcomes of Thrombograft®PRP , please call us  or email us via E-Service.  We provide demonstrations and training in the use of Thrombograft®PRP and it's remarkable array of applications.

Thrombograft®PRP & Bone Grafts

The addition of a platelet rich plasma preparation such as  Thrombograft®PRP to bone grafts caused a marked acceleration if the rate of bone formation and a great enhancement of bone density through the first 6 months of regeneration.  Using Thrombograft®PRP platelet recovery technique, concentrated platelets can be sequestered from a small sample of blood (approx. 45-50ml).  This technique allows the end user to recover the highest platelet count possible (500% to 800% of baseline) from a small sample of blood.  This offers the bone graft the greatest amount of growth factors, ultimately yielding the best outcome.  Studies have shown that cancellous marrow grafts contain cells that have the PDGF and TGF-beta growth factor receptors on them.  These receptors on the bone grafts lend themselves as an obvious target receptor for the growth factors yielded in the Thrombograft®PRP preparation.  These receptors  were found in three locations in cancellous bone marrow.  These locations are the perivascular location, the endosteal location, and the interstitial cells.  The PDGF found in the Thrombograft®PRP preparation, is the first growth factor  to present itself in a wound and initiate bone regeneration and repair.  Along with the Platelet Derived Growth Factor (PDGF), are Transforming Growth Factor Beta (TGF-b), Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF), Fibroblast Growth Factor (FGF), Insulin Growth Factor (IGF), Platelet Derived Angiogenesis Factor (PDAF), and many others all working together in high concentration to offer the best healing and regeneration outcome possible.
